Kristi McDuffie is a writing program administrator and digital rhetoric scholar. She is the Interim Director of Rhetoric at the University of Illinois – Urbana-Champaign.
Kristi’s research and teaching interests center on composition pedagogy and theory, digital writing and rhetoric, race and whiteness theory and rhetorics, critical pedagogy, and social media. Kristi completed her Ph.D. at Illinois State University in 2015 with a dissertation investigating the rhetorical construction of whiteness within online reader comments responding to newspaper articles on immigration reform.
